Bio

My name is Sarah Stitt and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Illinois State University and my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I had a focus in child and adolescent treatment in graduate school but I see people of all ages. My goal is to create a warm, judgment-free zone where people can work toward becoming their best version of themselves and live life to its fullest. I am honored to hold a safe space for my clients to explore who they are and want to be. I have a person-centered and strengths-based approach, while also incorporating elements of CBT, DBT, and ACT into my practice. I also strongly believe in the healing power of laughter and try to bring a smile to my client’s faces every day. My background includes experience in treating depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, self-harm, self-esteem issues, conflict within relationships, and struggles with anger management. Helping those struggling with grief is especially important to me and I have several years of experience in this area from volunteer work. I also have a special interest in LGBTQ-related issues and advocacy.
