Kevin Jones Jr

Kevin Jones is an Associate Clinical Social Worker with over eight years of experience in the helping professions. A U.S. Army veteran and former foster youth, Kevin brings a deep sense of empathy, resilience, and purpose to his clinical work. Following his military service, Kevin began his career supporting homeless veterans as a case manager—a role he describes as transformative. Witnessing the impact of trauma, homelessness, and untreated mental health conditions among those he served inspired him to pursue advanced clinical training. He earned his Master of Social Work from the University of Denver in March 2023. Kevin has worked with diverse populations, including youth in crisis and individuals facing acute psychological and behavioral challenges. His clinical focus includes urgent mental health assessments, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based interventions for emotion dysregulation, impulsivity, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress. He incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) into his therapeutic approach. Grounded in both personal and professional experience, Kevin is passionate about helping clients break the cycle of shame that often accompanies trauma. He believes that healing begins when individuals feel safe, seen, and empowered to confront the roots of their pain—allowing them to rediscover their self-worth and move toward lasting growth. Outside the therapy room, Kevin enjoys aquascaping, cinematography, music, travel, and exploring new cuisines—interests he sees as ways to connect, create meaning, and appreciate the richness of the human experience.
